As Dong Xuebin drove past Li's Restaurant, which had been without power for a day, he glanced inside, stepped on the gas, and returned to Guangming Street Office.
"Look, Director Dong is here."
"Did you see it when you passed by this morning?"
"Yeah. Li's Restaurant still doesn't seem to have power."
"What is this called? This is called getting what they deserved. That restaurant owner must have been bored out of his mind."
"Exactly. It's been a whole day already. Let's see how he wraps this up."
"Hey, could the power outage end after just one day? It doesn't seem like they failed to pay their electricity bill."
"If Li Lu doesn't bow his head, I'm afraid it won't end. That wouldn't be Director Dong's style."
"Yeah, I think so too."
"What kind of style does our director have?"

The Street Office staff were united in their indignation. The discussions had not stopped since the power was cut last night, and word of the matter had long since spread.
Guangming Street Office had clashed with Peace Street Office many times before, but the Old Secretary before Dong Xuebin had been somewhat weak and had been firmly suppressed by Geng Xinke. He had accomplished little politically or administratively and had been utterly mediocre. To put it bluntly, he had been a little "soft."
