Wedding (Part 1)

The day after tomorrow. Morning. Old Master Xie's villa. Firecrackers crackled through the courtyard as everyone gathered together. The wedding had begun; today was the auspicious day Dong Xuebin and Xie Huilan were getting married. Inside, Dong Xuebin and Xie Huilan greeted the elders of the Xie Family. "Congratulations." "Wishing you a long and happy marriage." "Having children soon is what really matters, haha. Here, these are red envelopes. Take them." Dong Xuebin had met most of the people inside: Xie Huilan's parents, Xie Guobang and Han Jing; Xie Ran and Xie Jing's parents, Xie Guoliang and Xia Yanzhen; Xie Hao's parents, Xie Guojian and Ci Lifen; and so on. Several of the younger third-generation members were there too, though there were also a few unfamiliar faces. For example, an elderly man sitting beside Old Master Xie; a middle-aged woman and man linked arm-in-arm with Han Jing; and a young man chatting and laughing beside Xie Hao, whom Dong Xuebin had never seen before and did not know how to address. Dong Xuebin greeted them one by one: "Grandpa, Dad, Mom, Aunt, Uncle." Wearing a wedding dress, Xie Huilan also greeted Luan Xiaoping and Yang Zhaode. "Mom, Uncle Yang." Luan Xiaoping and Yang Zhaode had not yet gotten their Marriage Certificate, so she could not call him whatever she pleased. Then Xie Huilan said with a smile, "There are some elders you haven't met yet. Let me introduce you. This is our Fourth Grandpa." Dong Xuebin grew a little nervous and hurriedly greeted the old man beside Old Master Xie respectfully. "Fourth Grandpa." Fourth Grandpa smiled and nodded. "Hui Lan has good taste." "You flatter me," Dong Xuebin said, embarrassed and somewhat flattered. "Not at all. I've heard about you more than once. You're a fine young man."
