10:30 a.m.
Central Park, East District.
This was where project booths were set up and investors were received. Proposals for major projects were handled inside temporary tents, while medium-sized projects were spread among booths on either side. Small project plans and details were displayed outdoors on bulletin boards. Every booth had dedicated staff from the county Investment Bureau to introduce the projects. For medium-sized and larger capital projects, they could even provide cars to take investors to inspect the sites in person, allowing them to better analyze and assess the projects. Combined with the loan information desks set up by several banks and the surrounding investment-related support channels, the entire area looked highly professional.
There were fewer tourists here.
Most of them were businessmen or investors interested in going into business.
"Given your requirements, how about taking a look at this project?"
"This project seems fine, but I don't have that much money."
"Sir, I can take you to the bank desk for a consultation. For small and medium-sized amounts, mortgage loans are available, and there are even other loan options to choose from."
The place was bustling with activity.
Yet every staff member wore a broad smile. It did not seem like the polite smile required by their jobs, but one that came genuinely from the heart. One look at the Investment Bureau staff's expressions told Dong Xuebin that they must have achieved a great deal. They received commissions for every investment they brought in, and smiles like these clearly meant their gains were substantial.
"Ah, Secretary Dong."
"Secretary Dong, you're here?"
"I'll go get County Chief Zhang."
Before long, Zhang Dongfang emerged from the tent housing the major projects. The moment he saw Dong Xuebin, he laughed heartily. "Secretary, you're here? Why didn't you get some more rest?"
