On the second floor of the small building, at the far end on the right, was an office area with two or three small offices. The innermost room was a large office that could hold more than ten desks. Quite a few Discipline Inspection Committee staff were working inside, none of them noticing Dong Xuebin and Gao Wenrong approaching from afar.
The two stopped in the hallway.
Gao Wenrong introduced the place. "This is Discipline Inspection and Supervision Office One."
Dong Xuebin nodded and looked around. "The working atmosphere is pretty good."
"Want to go inside and have a look?" Gao Wenrong asked.
"Forget it. They look busy, so let's not disturb their work for now."
"Hehe, you're the Top Leader of Discipline Inspection and Supervision Office One. There's no such thing as disturbing them."
"The Formal Appointment hasn't been announced yet, so I'd better not join in the excitement. We'll talk about it this afternoon."

As soon as he pushed open the door, a dazzling beam of light shot in through the window and struck Dong Xuebin's eyes. He instinctively squinted. The room faced south, with excellent lighting. Directly opposite the entrance was a window, beneath which sat two potted flowers. There was a black solid-wood desk, a reception sofa on the left, a bookcase on the right, and a waist-high potted plant near the door. It was laid out much like most leaders' offices. It was not particularly luxurious, nor was there a lounge beside it, but the details were quite refined.
Gao Wenrong smiled. "Knowing you were coming, I had someone clean it up two days ago. How does it look?"
