The next day.
Sunday.
Today was the second and final day of the Investment Promotion Culture Festival. County officials and staff had continued yesterday's bustle early in the morning, except for Dong Xuebin. He had returned late last night to begin with, and after fooling around with Zhang Longjuan for a full two hours, he had overslept.
Hotel.
In the large suite.

That can't be right." Dong Xuebin was not an especially heavy sleeper. Even the slightest noise could wake him, no matter how exhausted he was.
Only then did Zhang Longjuan say, "I put your phone on silent while we were sleeping last night." Tossing back her hair, she yawned. "You looked too tired, so I wanted you to sleep a little longer."
Dong Xuebin said helplessly, "I've got things to do."
Zhang Longjuan said, "They'll work just fine without you."
Dong Xuebin had no answer, though he knew Sister Zhang was concerned
