Zhou Qing grinned, understanding that the Swarm deeply understood humanity's flaws, yet had still chosen courtesy before force.
And those two choices—
"Alright, since you're so eager to choose, you may begin. We can discuss other matters afterward. I don't mind telling you everything I know." With that, the Brain Bug changed the subject and waited for everyone's decision.
"We definitely can't choose the first one."
Romantina spoke first.
"Definitely not. I still need to go to the Seventh Layer and find my mother!" Riko was the first to agree. Even setting aside her search for her mother, as a qualified Explorer, she absolutely could not stop moving forward.
They had to go to the next layer!

Zhou Qing studied the Brain Bug for quite a while. He could not make out any human-like expression on that bizarre insect shaped like a brain—and even if it had one, he, a human, would not be able to read it. After looking at Taros for a while longer, he finally asked, "We can choose neither option, right?"
"What are you talking about?" Romantina grabbed Zhou Qing by the shoulders and shook him hard, suspecting that he had taken in too much information and his mind had yet to process it.
"You can."
Yet Taros gave an affirmative answer. "The choices offered to the others before were to remain with the Swarm or proceed to the next layer. As long as they no longer harmed the Swarm, they could do whatever
