Led by Regu and Luo Si, the group arrived at the castle's first floor. Behind the reception desk's backdrop wall stood an Elevator.
After everyone entered, Regu and Luo Si respectively pressed their left and right hands into the palm-print grooves on the walls beside the Elevator doors.
Three seconds later, the Elevator started.
"Does it only start when both of you press your arms down at the same time?" Riko asked curiously. "Is there some special mechanism?"
"There is indeed a mechanism, but having our arms isn't enough," Regu said. "The real key is the information contained within our arms. Only our brainwaves... you can think of them as Spiritual Power. In other words, only Spiritual Power unique to us can activate it."
Zhou Qing was surprised, but quickly understood. Given Earth's scientific system, it was perfectly normal for them to have researched the function of Spiritual Power and applied it to security measures.
Before long, the Elevator reached the lowest level. When its doors opened, they saw a vast laboratory. Yet it had none of the high-tech appearance Zhou Qing had imagined.
