With two days remaining before returning to the sect, Li Yang spent her time alone in her room, writing and drawing circles upon sheets of paper.

A month of Star Gazing was not enough for her to record an entire cycle of the stars' revolutions. The time was too short. However, she had already recorded a great deal of data in the past.
Thus, after the necessary calculations and adjustments, and based on the assumption that the Earth was moving and rotating, she reasonably resolved the issues from before. A diagram of "Planets Orbit the Sun" emerged on the page.
Sun is the Center of the World!
Most stars with clearly observable movement orbited the Sun—except for the Moon. According to her calculations and measurements, the Moon's waxing and waning were not changes in the Moon itself. The Moon had always been round; the crescent Moon only existed because part of it was obscured most of the time. Moreover, whatever obscured the Moon had to be a round celestial body as well.
What was obscuring it?
The world she lived in!
In this entirely new model of celestial motion, only the Moon orbited the world they inhabited, while all other stars revolved around the Sun.
Yet it was this very model that made Li Yang's scalp tingle, because she realized that the world she lived in was actually round!
That was impossible!
That was Li Yang's first reaction.
But immediately afterward, she had a second thought:
The Sun was round, the Moon was round by nature, and all the luminous stars visible in the sky were round as well, setting aside their halos. So why couldn't the world she lived in be round?
