Background / History
Tang San’s past life began amid the ruins of a village ravaged by the Nine Yin Alliance. Tang Lan found him as an infant, named him Tang San, and took responsibility for raising him. Tang San later became an Outer Sect disciple of the Shushan Tang Sect. 7
In that life, he infiltrated the Tang Sect Scripture Pavilion using Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track and stole the sect’s supreme inheritance, the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record. The manual contained advanced cultivation methods and hidden-weapon manufacturing knowledge. 9 10
Pursued to Ghost’s Lament Cliff, Tang San admitted that stealing the inner sect’s techniques violated sect rules. He revealed that he had learned the Mysterious Heaven Skill and recreated the long-lost Buddha’s Fury Tang Lotus, then claimed to return the manuals before leaping from the cliff and activating the weapon. 11 The incident also resulted in the accidental death of Tang Luo, the Tang Sect’s Seventh Elder. 102
After reincarnating on the Douluo Continent, Tang San joined Shrek Academy alongside Xiao Wu, Dai Mubai, Oscar, Ma Hongjun, Zhu Zhuqing, and Ning Rongrong. The Heavenly Dao Rankings publicly identified him as the first exposed individual, revealing his past-life history and making the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record a target for major powers. 4 6 9
Appearance
As a deity, Tang San appears as a handsome man seemingly in his twenties, with an imposing build, broad shoulders, and water-blue hair reaching his feet. He wears a luxurious blue robe that seems to ripple like water. 282
- Long water-blue hair cascading to his feet.
- Deep eyes that may flash purple.
- Cerulean blue robes with an ocean-like visual quality.

Personality
Tang San is highly calculating, resourceful, and protective of those he considers his own. Under pressure from multiple Titled Douluo, he attempted to trade the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record for safety and used a Martial Soul oath as part of the negotiation. 72 73 74
He is also intensely vindictive. After learning that other factions had spread Tang Sect techniques, he vowed to eliminate everyone who had cultivated or read the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record once he became a God King. 191 His exposure of Zhu Zhuqing as another reincarnated inheritor was likewise presented as retaliation for the treatment he had received. 75
His actions repeatedly damage his public reputation. He attacks Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong with hidden weapons, is accused of absorbing the vital essence and blood of Imperial Fighting Team members, and is condemned for plans involving poison at Jialing Pass. 52 53 154 163
