Bright white moonlight flowed like water, rippling across the land.

A vast number of Void Monsters immediately felt something indescribable. They lowered their heads, stamped their feet, and, facing the moon hanging high overhead, forgot for a moment that they were on a battlefield.

Slash! The Deadhead Orcs swung their axes, instantly hacking apart and shredding those fleshy targets. Even they felt a trace of confusion at their enemies' sudden surrender of resistance. Yet their curiosity did not lead them to imitate their opponents and look up at the moon.

The bright moon in the sky radiated a demonic allure. It was immaculate and pure, yet filled with a fanatical, irresistible enchantment. Two things that should have been utterly contradictory had somehow blended together and manifested at once, making it nearly impossible to imagine what sort of existence this was.

"The moon..."

Seeds's gaze turned grave. "No matter how many times you play god, it's useless. No matter how high your stats are, you can't surpass the difference of an entire rank!"

But Seeds immediately paid the price for his words and actions.

"Sequence Three · Paradox."

A familiar, indifferent voice echoed through space:

"Far. Near."

Seeds's pupils contracted.

The distance between him and the moon had clearly not changed, but in the next instant, a huge hand suddenly appeared before him. Its pure white, porcelain-like skin gave off a faint glow. In front of him, its five fingers clenched one after another before smashing toward his face.

"Idiot." Seeds tilted his head and sneered. "You think an attack this slow can hit me? Even a snail moves faster than this—"

Bang! Seeds was struck squarely in the face. The dragon-faced mask smashed hard against his cheek, force penetrating his skull and sending shocks through the tissue inside his cranium.
