The Bounty Hunters outside the GTB building had already gone wild.
"Damn— a bounty worth twenty million Derby? This was the first time I'd ever heard of one like that."
"Who the hell is this guy? Did he kill His Excellency the President's daughter?"
"We'll find out once we take the job."
Most of the Bounty Hunters were eager to make a move. Twenty million Derby was enough to make someone rich overnight, and more importantly, there was that apartment in the capital's urban district with ninety years of property rights. The capital had no concept of school-district housing, which meant your descendants could freely choose any academy they wanted to attend.
At the very least, it would let their descendants compete on the same playing field as the children of officials, dignitaries, and social elites. No matter what, they would not have to live like these people did—fighting and killing, hands drenched in blood, never knowing if they would survive the next day.
Before long, they rushed into GTB's bounty department to accept the mission, then promptly handed over the money they had just earned from GTB to the procurement department. They even had to happily thank them for it.
Xue Nian and Luo Le were quite interested as well, though their attention was focused on the mission itself.
"We've been in Frostplate for two months, and this is the first time we've encountered a global GTB manhunt."
Luo Le clicked his tongue in amazement. "Anyone with half a brain knows that someone who could deal with a Beta-rank powerhouse couldn't be below Beta-rank himself. And he's a garbage scavenger known for brutality—these trash mobs below Level 20 are just delivering themselves to him."
"You think they're stupid, but how could they not know they only have one life?
