Aunt Murston's affection for Lioz was not limited to killing.
In fact, Lioz could understand this quite well. The demigod stage was precisely the obsessive phase that all Deified Persons had to go through.
Before long, Aunt Murston began personally teaching him how to cultivate a Path.
"Before we begin cultivating, I must tell you something," Aunt Murston said solemnly.
"Sweet little Lioz, I regret to inform you that although Oshulia was famed for redemption, and although the Dawnbreaker Family was an exceptionally outstanding redemption lineage in the Star Abyss, with vitality far beyond that of ordinary people in its bloodline inheritance—you have not displayed that special talent."
"I know, Auntie." Lioz smiled. "I don't care about that at all, and I don't particularly want to cultivate the Path of Redemption either."
—Cultivating redemption placed extremely high demands on talent. Compared to the other five Paths, which could be brute-forced through studying and training or improved through luck and charisma, it was far too stringent.

The most boring thing in an arena was watching a "Holy Knight" fight a "Blood Demon." The two could battle for hours without a drop of their own blood left in their veins.
And Lioz had the least need for such abilities. He had always leaned toward the melee mage style, demanding greater mobility and spell power. Survivability was only secondary.
"What a sensible child."
