"Changing this kid's blood without altering his bloodline," Lioz said.
"What's the point?" Caramel Snail scratched his head.

"You might not know this, but the Lai Anding Medical Protocol has a loophole. The players' resurrection system isn't perfect, and it keeps getting updated with every version—but there's one thing it can never overcome."
"You mean Lai Anding... didn't think everything through?" Siveston asked curiously. "Care to explain?"
Lioz briefly explained the principle. "The essence of the Medical Protocol is to protect our consciousness. When a summoned body dies, the player is actually disconnected from that body for a brief moment."
"And in that instant, the game system repairs the summoned body. If the three resurrection chances haven't been used up, it merely allocates a small amount of resources to roll back the body's condition and restore it to a near-death state. After all, reviving at full condition would make combat mindless, players would lose the fun
