Lioz strolled into the corridor. After taking a few steps forward, the dim passage suddenly lit up. Countless pale-blue lights floated silently along both sides of the path, while creatures resembling jellyfish and butterflies drifted through the air. The slightest touch would make them burst apart, releasing a refreshing fragrance.
Incense You, magical creatures used to purify the air. They might look fragile, but by bloodline, these little fellows were actually divine beasts. If their lifespans had not been limited to just two or three days, they could have evolved into colossal forms stretching for thousands of miles.
Lioz took a deep breath. The air purified by the Incense You carried energy particles that helped the mana and vital energy within his body circulate. In an environment like this, mana recovery was practically rocket-fast.
Unfortunately, his body did not absorb much vital energy. It merely stopped it from leaking away.
That would change soon.
"Please follow me."
The shopkeeper shut the main door and respectfully led Lioz through the winding corridors. Collapsed caverns appeared here and there, and Lioz even spotted dimensional spider silk—apparently traps prepared for outsiders. If one stepped wrongly, being teleported back to the starting point was still manageable. If randomly teleported somewhere else, then one could only pray for the best.
Though he could enter safely now, this quest had actually been designed for Koshi-rank (14) players. Lioz simply did not need to complete the entire quest.
Since he knew the information, he could skip the complicated prerequisites and target search, heading straight to the third stage of the quest—a scene with no combat whatsoever.
Before long, the shopkeeper brought him to a side room and lightly knocked on its wooden door. A muffled female voice immediately sounded from within:
"Who is it? What is it?"
