Ronan thought he had stumbled into that classic movie scene where someone got money slapped in their face.
For a moment, he really wanted to see the case open to reveal stacks of cash... Oh, this was the Age of Authority. A case full of gold would probably be more reliable.
Still, it did not look heavy enough.
Blood Demon stopped keeping him in suspense. Pulling tricks like this on a psychic master would only make him a laughingstock. He quickly opened the case and turned its opening toward Ronan.
What Ronan saw at that moment was a neatly stacked pile of...
Black cloth.
The fabric looked rather high-end. It was a pure black that barely reflected light, yet upon closer inspection, it bore dense, satin-like dark patterns.
Given the material, it had clearly undergone special processing as well. Ronan could tell that among the layers of stacked fabric, restrained spirit waves drifted in an orderly fashion. It was obviously an extraordinary item enhanced with Extraordinary Power.
Aside from the fabric, a slightly thick stylus protruded halfway from a compartment in the lid of the briefcase. Its body was jade white and capped, with a decent texture. It also radiated spirit waves that faintly echoed those of the fabric.
"What is this?" Ronan had no idea what this thing was, much less any urge to be tempted by it. He was merely curious.
"The Covenant Book. I specifically asked the Covenant Lord for this good stuff. It can carry Extraordinary Power. Use it as a canvas, then use H4-a organic powder, currently the most compatible with Soul Power, processed and solidified into a brush... Brother Ronan, aren't you going to give it a try?"
Ronan laughed. Of course, he would not change his mind just because of some special material.
