His guts were spilling out.
A hole had been blasted clean through the most heavily mutated junction of his chest and abdomen. Blood mixed with strange ghostly fluorescence gushed out, quickly staining the center of the pool with an eerie color.
This aquatic creature was desperately trying to keep itself above the water, terrified that the pool water pouring through the "hole" would wash out all his five viscera and six bowels—if he even had those.
"This is interesting!"
Black Lion, whom Ronan had ignored earlier, knew very well how to entertain himself. He slapped his thick thigh and bared a mouthful of black-gold fangs. "Mm, it's full of the scent of incense offerings under the sunlight."
There was no goddamn sunlight now, but if he meant the Amaterasu Order, it was quite apt.
At last, Ronan glanced that way.
Black Lion knew the trade well, though he sold people out without a second thought. The others might not have been unaware, but they kept their mouths much tighter.

Bull Demon's injuries had come from their earlier clash, when Ronan had forcibly summoned him out of the Space Fault to serve as the central axis of the cloud qi's circulation, only for Tu Ge to blast straight through him.
With Mica, Ronan had not needed him in the first place. He had merely used him as cover to draw Tu Ge's attention.
For Bull Demon, it had been a disaster out of nowhere.
Still, Ronan had no
