While they were fiddling with the signal over there, Yuan Wuwei had already realized who this self-proclaimed "Monroe," this guy full of tall tales, really was.
He wasn't too familiar with the Inner World, but he happened to remember this man:
"Cannon" Monroe, deputy secretary-general of the Ability User Association Headquarters. During Yuan Wuwei's years in the Deep Blue World, this man had been a frequent visitor there. They had even discussed Void Remote Sensing and Quasi-Automatic Locking.
From that perspective, Monroe and Tu Ge were not outsiders. At the very least, they belonged to the same faction—the Li Wei Faction.
Just as Yuan Wuwei was making judgments based on that assumption, they finally got the signal working and completed the video connection. Yet what appeared on the screen was once again beyond his expectations.
The person on screen was not the old face with slightly narrowed eyes that he remembered Monroe having. In fact, there was not just one person on screen at all. Four faces had appeared, making five with Tu Ge... Yuan Wuwei shrank as far to the side as he could, avoiding the camera.
Clearly, this was probably not a simple request for advice, but a video conference!
As Yuan Wuwei curled himself up, he struggled to identify the people on the screen. His understanding of the Inner World was fairly limited, and aside from Monroe and Tu Ge, he could not immediately recognize the other three even if they looked vaguely familiar. But judging from their expressions and bearing, he would bet his life that every last one of them was an Extraordinary Species!
"Old Tu, there are too many people here. Some matters need to be discussed, so I just pulled everyone together."
