Mora frowned as she listened to Ronan's plan. "Hey, you're not planning to sneak over there and kill them, are you?"
"Is that really necessary?"
Ronan stood up directly, preparing to head out. The people around the card table all instinctively shifted, differing only in how sensitive or restrained they were.
Ronan raised a hand in a casual pressing gesture. "Make yourselves at home. Oh, right, leave the Basic Environment and this Card Deck here. If you've got nothing to do, play around with it. Better yet, see if you can figure out a suitable way to play."
With that, Ronan waved and headed outside.
His casual, offhand decision left the group at a loss. Wen Huilan seized the chance to stand up and leave the card table area. Mora even forgot to stop her.
Mountain Lord remained seated. He first looked at the table's light-and-shadow structure, then frowned at Mora. "What exactly are you people up to? Don't tell me you're seriously thinking of doing something here?"
"Does it look like it?"
Mora shot him an irritated glare and scratched at her head hard enough to ruin her hair even through her broad-brimmed hat. "The one who keeps pressing forward and controlling the rhythm has always been Ronan, all right?"
"If I hadn't come along on this trip, I'd believe you." Mountain Lord did not care that Ronan had yet to leave the hall. "But now we've got Hundred Peaks Monarch, Luo Yuan, the Amaterasu Order... so many completely unrelated things thrown together. I can't help being suspicious."
"You think I'm not suspicious too? I knew Lake City was a complete mess, but stuffing this many elements into it... Heh heh, I only found out right before we left. Believe it or not."
