Apolon had returned from his test drive too. He still wore his usual black clerical robe, black from head to toe except for a white band around the collar. At first glance, he looked solemn and dignified, but the hard lines of his face and the dark red, ember-like eyes set in it marked him as plainly different from an ordinary person.
Apolon had never fit into normal society. Though he was Hami Jidun's Grand Executive Officer and a force that could not be ignored in Earth's political landscape, people instinctively switched to a different way of thinking whenever they looked at him, trying to communicate with him on his terms.
That unconscious double standard was undoubtedly the effect of Apolon's powerful Self Logic distorting the outside world.
Snake Language was affected without realizing it.
She had no need to warn Ronan. It was not as though he could not see for himself. But instinct told her that Apolon was highly dangerous and uncontrollable. Even if he bowed his head for now, there was no telling what he might do.
...Much like she had been earlier.
Only with less despair and more defiance.
Ronan had let two such "captives" stay at his side and come into contact with his most closely guarded secrets. It had to be said: he was remarkably unconcerned.
But looked at another way, that confidence was all the more despairing.
Snake Language was not sure what Apolon thought. One thing was certain, though: Ha City's Grand Executive Officer had already come to a realization of his own.
She guessed it had happened after the Dreamscape Game appeared.
Before that, Apolon had often appeared in the chaotic Dreamscape haze at the edge of Battlefield Spacetime, trying to use the power of his own rules to break through
