Ronan instinctively looked at the observation station layout Auntie Kui had displayed.
This small station was actually located on the rim of a small meteor crater. Half the crater had collapsed, leaving it with an irregular semicircular layout.
The observation station had essentially been built around one of the intersections between the chord and arc of that semicircle.
There were some buildings above ground, though not many. Most stood outside the crater rim, hastily constructed and long since ravaged beyond recognition by Extraterritorial Species.
The erected "Receiving Tower" was considered the best-preserved aboveground structure. It stood at the high point where the chord and arc met.
The Command Center was right beside the "Receiving Tower," underground and farther from the crater.
Judging by the distance, Ronan could easily keep an eye on it. If he wanted to be safer, he could even use the Segmenter to operate maintenance robots remotely.
The only trouble was that the "Receiving Tower" rose seven or eight meters above the surface. It was conspicuous and easily damaged, so its subsequent maintenance frequency would clearly be very high.
As for the newly constructed "Converter," just as Xian Zhu had said, it was still some distance from the "Receiving Tower."
It was practically at the very tip of the semicircular arc, more than a kilometer away in a straight line.
It did not look far, but in fact, due to the curved crater rim and the observation station's underground structural restrictions, the actual distance was basically doubled.
A distance of nearly two kilometers was nothing on Earth. Ronan could keep watch over that side in his sleep.
But amid the combined realities of severe Karmic Poison Contamination, sporadic appearances by Extraterritorial Species, and the asteroid's terrible natural environment, crossing those two kilometers frequently while ensuring nothing went
