Don't blame Long Qi for losing control. After Mountain Lord rammed into him bodily and released the shuttle's outer shell, that left hand—the one any fool could tell had a massive problem—clamped around his wrist like iron pincers.
The force behind it was obvious from the shuttle's badly warped shell.
Long Qi's face turned green. The fact that he could still shout clearly proved he hadn't slacked off in his usual pain-tolerance training.
In fact, he had Ronan's "Bone Exoskeleton" to thank. The instant he came under attack, it activated automatically, forming a hard yet resilient exoskeletal bracer around his wrist and blocking Mountain Lord's utterly unrestrained "pincer grip."
Although this exoskeleton was not known for its defensive power, it still provided a layer of cushioning. Combined with the Inner Armor Long Qi never took off and the Format Fire bursting from his body in an instant, it at least kept Mountain Lord from "pinching" his wrist clean through at the first moment.
The reason he called it a "pinch" rather than a "squeeze" or a "grip" was that even in this situation, Long Qi noticed that Mountain Lord's left hand felt extremely stiff. It was only using the web between thumb and forefinger to clamp his wrist. The five fingers could not curl naturally and remained extended flat, their joints rigid beyond belief.
Even so, Long Qi's exoskeleton and Inner Armor both caved in, nearly ruined on the spot.
At the same time, Mountain Lord's right hand still gripped the upper forearm of that deeply problematic left hand. The two men and three arms formed a staggered, sharp-edged structure, binding Long Qi and Mountain Lord tightly together.
When would this structure collapse?
