Doctor Tao Xian vaguely sensed the details beneath Ronan's fingers. Her brows furrowed as she walked over for a closer look. "This doesn't seem right, does it?"
"Not quite."
Ronan pulled his fingers out, bringing with them damp-feeling debris and the deformed pressure-resistant structure within.
A moment later, Doctor Tao Xian slammed a fist into the area near the hole. Other than more debris spraying from inside, however, the structural strength feedback from the relevant area still showed no abnormalities.
"Just this one spot? Is there a problem with the Catalysis Repository's design?"
Ronan glanced at her. "I hope so."
It sounded absurd, but when faced with a grim reality, it was the least bad expectation they could have.
Foundation Modules were the most basic and important component of Sky Abyss Empire battlefield engineering. As Ronan understood it, their prototype was a colony of tiny coral-polyp-like organisms. Through large-scale "energy farming" and powerful catalysis, they were rapidly bred, expanded, and killed, then treated with various specialized "formulas" to petrify or metallize them, ultimately fixing them into shape.
Their forming "formulas" were calculated and adjusted in real time according to actual battlefield conditions, making them the most suitable designs for the battlefield environment. They were also formed as a single piece within the Catalysis Repository. In exchange for sacrificing ease of use and malleability, they gained vastly improved strength, durability, thermal insulation, conductivity, and other parameters.
The preset interference nodes within them could also interface seamlessly with Tianyuan's war system. They were excellent conductors for the Xuan Crystal Array's Blessing Power, as well as superb medium materials for high-complexity operations such as planarization and demi-planarization.
Back when Ronan had been at the Relay Station, he had seen this thing split open by the
