Of course Ronan knew him.
Field Officer Fang, full name Fang Shu, was the tactical commander assigned by brigade headquarters to their sector of the front. He had not originally been an officer of the Provisional Second Brigade. Rather, after the asteroid war entered its most intense phase, the Frontline Command Center had dispatched him to brigade headquarters as a professional combat commander.
Of course, the Provisional Second Brigade itself had been assembled through temporary transfers, so there was no point dwelling on that.
Ronan had briefly spoken with Fang Shu over video and knew him to be a rather stern, upright career soldier. He detested all meaningless formalities and demanded that every tactical objective he set be carried out without compromise, at the designated time and place.
Since Ronan himself was not a professional, he could not judge the quality of Field Officer Fang Shu's tactical objectives and related command decisions over the past while. But judging from the reaction of a seasoned veteran like Sergeant Major Le Zuo, they had been quite reasonable.
