Ronan knew Instructor Wang Zhen was allowing him to extend his mental senses into the Abyss Zone and learn about that so-called "rule-governed environment in dynamic equilibrium." He had no intention of holding back. He had long wanted to see the Abyss Zone, and he did not care if this was only a Phantom projected through the Dream God Abomination.
The Shadow Mist covering the entire office area also gave him some protection. Its countless airborne particles wrapped a temporary Cloak around the Soul Power he sent outward, keeping the Sin-Poison Environment from corroding it at once.
For Ronan, it was an experience he had not enjoyed in a long time.
As his Soul Power spread through the surrounding space, he could feel a certain drag from the membrane structure of his Isolation Suit and the protection of the Shadow Mist. But his extraordinary reserves of Soul Power let him ignore it. Instead, a string of visible electrical sparks erupted throughout the mist-filled office.
Field Officer Wang Zhen glanced his way. "Dial it down. Are you trying to set off a dust explosion?"
If this had been ordinary airborne dust, one might already have happened.
"Oh. Sorry."
Ronan realized he had not used his Mental Aspect powers so freely in ages. He had gotten a little excited.
Then Ronan noticed Field Officer Wang Zhen moving forward too.
Though the surrounding Shadow Mist was already dense, her Power Armor poured out more smoke of the same kind until the area around the commander's chair was almost completely obscured.
Field Officer Huo Fa's hefty, unarmored body was also about to vanish into the thick mist, but his voice remained steady.
"Field Officer Wang Zhen, I'm not sure what I might do... especially with that detestable face of yours in front of me."
