The conversation between Ronan and Wu Jun continued.
For most of the time, Ronan sat quietly, watching Wu Jun not far in front of him. She had been a colleague of his parents... and of Luo Yuan's as well. Between those two existed the most undeniable intimate relationship and blood tie in the Secular World.
Even if most of it was already in the past, human hearts were the hardest thing to fathom.
Ronan had to examine this person, this relationship, with utmost seriousness.
At his side, the Demon Rune lay silently sprawled across the Altar Spiderweb, its six differently colored pupils coldly fixed on Wu Jun, watching the fluctuations of her Emotional Turbid Current.
The Dark Heavy Chains swayed and hummed soundlessly like the long tail of that Demon.
It was precisely under such circumstances that Ronan could basically determine that Wu Jun might originally have intended to mention Cloak, but probably had not planned to bring up Luo Yuan. After all, anyone with a deeper understanding of the Inner World situation would know that Luo Yuan was a highly conspicuous figure. His identity was sensitive, and he belonged to Ronan's opposing camp.
Yet this man was the biological father of her child.
Wu Jun had surely intended to temporarily conceal that relationship and first secure her position within the Luo System. After all, it concerned the safety of herself, her family, and her friends.
However, Ronan had used the identity of Furnace to pry open her mental defenses. Because of Bo Luo's encounter with Furnace and the kindness he had received, she had felt the urge to release the secrets and pressure buried in her heart... And subconsciously, she probably wanted to help Luo Yuan salvage some of his image.
Wu Jun might not even have realized it
