He Yueyin saw Mora too. She had known who was coming, but she did not play along with Mora's approach. She showed no reaction to the way Mora addressed her, merely giving a slight nod.
The two might have met before, or perhaps they had read up on each other.
As Ronan thought this, the Magnetized Puppet representing him stepped out of the shadows.
Mora received a system prompt:
You have discovered Magnetized Puppet · Ronan. It currently has no desire to hunt. You may try accepting its mission; there could be a surprise in store.
Mora's mouth twitched. She vaguely remembered receiving a whole slew of prompts about different kinds of Magnetized Puppets in the Buffer Zone of the Second Underground Cave. This one seemed to have been among them, but its version number had clearly changed a great deal.
What did that mean?
Had he simply reused it, or was he hinting at something?
Was it chance or necessity that he had appeared as a puppet in the Dreamscape Game?
As the architect of this vast dreamscape, could he enter the Dreamscape Game directly? Or could he only do so through a puppet?
All right, setting those technical questions aside, why was He Yueyin here?
Mora's thinking had reached a certain level, but that only made it harder for her to get a grip on Ronan's intentions.
Then she noticed the Light Sphere on Magnetized Puppet · Ronan's shoulder. She did not recall seeing it before. Details seemed to shift within its brilliant glow, but she could not make them out at a glance.
Ronan was quite pleased to see Mora so distracted and uncertain.
