Ronan turned to meet An Dongsheng's eyes. After a brief pause, he spoke frankly. "I remember General An previously reminding me not to treat the Balance of Truth as a person. This is probably what you meant. But what you're saying now... can I take it to mean that you don't merely regard it as an idea or a tool to be used, but have seen its 'other face'?"
Otherwise, how could he have said such things?
Before An Dongsheng could respond, Ronan immediately asked, "So you believe that the threat 'watching you' came from the Balance of Truth?"
