That power was mainly used to simulate the abilities of the Dream God Abomination or the Lord of Illusory Nightmares. To be honest, it was not very efficient.

After all, Ronan had yet to capture any related Rule Fragments in the Fog Maze. He was relying solely on the hall's authority to suppress them. At this stage, though, that power was perfectly suited to linking and supporting the elusive framework of the Gate of Rebirth. In this realm, at once real and illusory, Old Jin was not the only one frozen in place and unable to advance. Ronan was restricted too.
