Ah, I had become... a soul hosted inside a lizard!
When faced with something like this, anyone's thoughts would naturally lean in that direction, and Ronan was no exception.
Still, at heart, he was the sort of dull person whose beliefs overrode instinct. Reason held the upper hand most of the time. As soon as the thought arose, he quickly spotted a flaw:
Those pitch-black eye sockets were not mirrors. How could they possibly reflect the image of a lizard?
Which meant that his current "point of view" was open to question.
As his thoughts shifted, that unknown lizard continued to drive Ronan's primary perspective. With obvious distaste, it shoved half a metal face aside and kept digging. The latter failed to hold its place in the complex terrain and slid farther down, revealing a more complete shape—not merely a "face," but half a skull. Something below it seemed to be tugging at it, though the details were unclear.
The lizard ignored that and continued excavating, digging up one metal part after another. They came in all shapes and forms. Some had clearly humanoid structures, such as mechanical arms; others were perhaps as large as doors, their functions and purposes uncertain.
But whatever they were, the lizard discarded them like trash. It pushed aside the small ones and detoured around the large ones, until it unearthed a cylinder that seemed to be some sort of sealed container. Only then did it begin treating something with caution. It bit with its teeth and tore with its claws, leaving sharp, deep marks on the container's outer layer. Feeling the counterforce through the feedback, even Ronan's teeth ached.
The vague sensory information helped confirm that the container's shell was remarkably hard, made of some special alloy, while the lizard's "claw-and-fang combo" displayed considerable
