Ronan's first instinct was to search New Wildfire's memories for answers, but the latter knew nothing.
Even the peripheral scanning and analysis could only yield conclusions not much different from those concerning the "hospital"—the components and equipment all came from the same few sources, and the circulation processes were similar as well. The only difference, and one difficult to explain, was the origin of the technology.
Judging from New Wildfire's "life experiences" and the Resistance Army's average survival span, this Lava Factory had most likely been built within the last three years. For the Resistance Army—for all the natives of Outer Earth—this was undoubtedly a staggering undertaking.
The problem now was that the Reclamation Corps had shown no reaction, while New Wildfire was completely unaware of it.
Even if he forcibly assumed that the former was casting a long line to catch a big fish, this area still counted as part of New Wildfire's usual range of activity. Even if he had not paid much attention, after scanning and analyzing it back and forth so many times, he should have retained some impression.
Yet he had none.
Ronan's curiosity was immediately piqued.
He wanted to uncover Lava Island's origins, and blind speculation would obviously not do. Having New Wildfire scan its internal structure now... considering the extraordinary technological level of this structure, Ronan was somewhat hesitant.
What if this was a trap laid by the Reclamation Corps, and New Wildfire voluntarily walked right into it? That would be far too absurd.
New Wildfire's own consciousness offered a similar judgment.
It would be best to gather information through other channels first.
Thus, the Long-Tailed Lizard swayed its body, circled around Lava Island again, and headed toward the location where Aka Ge had been earlier.
Aka Ge and the other Fugitive had
