After bringing Snake Tongue onto the main road and making sure she could safely return to the city district while wearing Madam Shan Chuan's tattered skin, Ronan's cleanup work was complete. A man of his word, Ronan did not return with her. Instead, he turned back toward that bizarre place where "Unranked Divine Power" intertwined with curse arts.
Twisted trunks and branches, along with torn and pulverized flesh and limbs, were still desperately alive, displaying themselves without restraint. Against such a backdrop, even the strange, ugly form of a Long-Tailed Lizard counted as one of the few normal sights, becoming almost fresh and adorable.
Its claws stepped onto soft, blood-soaked mud. Even the earth was nauseatingly slick, while countless tiny, twisted insects and fungal colonies tried to crawl up its body or seep directly inside. Yet all of them were completely shut out.
Frankly speaking, using "Unranked Divine Power" to deal with the curse-sound slaughtering force leaking through was not the best solution. It did not clean things up particularly thoroughly, and as Ronan had mentioned, it would most likely attract the attention of the Reclamation Corps, along with some follow-up problems.
Ronan had chosen this method in order to preserve as much of that infiltrating power as possible—the imprint from beneath the clouds of the Cloud Top World... not in a physical sense, but an imprint within the clouds that seemed to belong to the Dream World.
He could even filter out certain "impurities" and strengthen it.
As the creator of Earth's "Dream Game," Ronan could easily accept the reality of the "Dream World." But accepting it was not the same as understanding it. At his current level, he could not merely accept things passively. He had to uncover the reasons behind them, or wouldn't the Mirror of Appraisal
