Inside and outside the temple, Bai Hao and Liu Jia split up to evacuate people, working with great urgency.
They both believed something major was about to happen at the main tower, perhaps a clash between Transcendental Species.
But nothing happened.
Liu Jia put more effort into the evacuation. By the time he reached a high-rise several kilometers away, where he could overlook the entire temple, Bai Hao had already been waiting for him for some time.
Liu Jia had no desire to speak much with Bai Hao, especially now that Ronan had arrived. They stood on different sides and ought to keep their distance. But with the situation escalating so suddenly, Bai Hao was the only person nearby he could consult.
