This was a harmless joke from Ronan.
Weismann did not laugh. He replied seriously, "Your Excellency High Priest is away on business and was unable to return in time."
"As long as he doesn't object."
Ronan rather liked this arrangement. It saved him trouble, spared him unnecessary arguments, and kept things simple.
Next, the two boarded a rotorcraft and headed for the Justice Cult headquarters.
The rotorcraft flew over the famous artificial canal. The vessels on it still formed quite an impressive sight, but based on Ronan's limited knowledge of geography and economics, the current shipping volume was nowhere near enough to support such a massive urban cluster. It could no longer even be considered a "landmark."
E City's current "landmark" and "mainstay" was undoubtedly the Justice Cult.
Seen from that perspective, the Justice Cult being classified as a "Secret Cult" was rather fascinating.
On the material level, the Justice Cult headquarters in E City could barely be considered low-key. The area it occupied was broad at the bottom and narrow at the top, with dozens of high-rises clustered together and imitations of natural green forests woven between them, like a small mountain built from steel and concrete. In truth, it was merely a super-large community integrating commerce, residences, green spaces, and more, similar to Bo Mountain Building in Xia City's He Wu District, where Master Xiu's Shenyu Dojo had once stood.
There were always a few such areas in any major metropolitan cluster, so it was not particularly conspicuous.
Unlike Xi City, where an incomparably magnificent temple had been built in the heart of the city.
But this entire area, along with its surrounding supporting facilities, belonged to the Justice Cult. Most of those working and living here were cult believers. That was rather excessive.
The implications behind it
