Even though the appraised value was about to fall below the 16,000-point mark, Ronan still did not have enough Credit Points.
The last time he farmed Credit Points, he had reached 1,200. But when he upgraded his rating, he had refreshed and revised the "What is Prepared" interface, cutting off that source of income outright. He had also spent 100 points asking the "Cloak" app for a quote on the very question before him, bringing his Credit Points down to 1,100.
There was still an order-of-magnitude gap between the two sides, but the trend had already emerged.
Ronan scrolled up through the "What is Sought" dialogue interface. There was another quote from him there, asking how much it would cost to transfer Magneto-Optical Mica to Outer Earth. As he recalled, the "Cloak" app had quoted 1,500 points. Now, that number had become 1,355. The decline was relatively conservative, but it still followed the same trend.
Even the history records could be changed. Everything judged before no longer counted... Forget the appraisals—could he get a refund for the difference on what he had already spent?
The absurd thought passed through his mind, then settled. Ronan smiled.
This was the newest mechanism of the "Cloak" app. So-called "appraisals" no longer told him what price he needed to pay, but rather how much he still lacked in terms of ability.
In the end, when it came to using the power of the Dream Divine Abomination, Ronan had gradually changed from someone who "borrowed power" into an "operator." He was beginning to approach the true core of the "Cloak" app's power—or perhaps its current mode of operation was gradually being covered over by his own.
Looking at the previous appraisals through that logic revealed many interesting things.
Take the comparison between Magneto-Optical Mica and
