Jia Xi was practically a veteran by now. The moment he heard Tai Yu's description, his scalp went numb. Those "Magnetic Pulse Beetles" were electromagnetic suppression units from the Stone Soul system, while the Fatigue Bee Swarm specifically targeted metal creations. Wherever their special shockwaves passed, equipment could easily suffer severe metal fatigue and be destroyed. Used together, they were simply a nightmare for mechanics like them.
Most troublesome of all, these things were usually the prelude to a large-scale enemy assault. The truly destructive unit types were definitely right behind them.
Jia Xi scrambled out of Observation Point No. 4 and hurriedly glanced back. Even he could tell this time that figures of Crystallized Puppets had appeared amid the suddenly billowing dust ahead. These humanoid monsters had fragile, explosive crystals embedded in many of their joints. Once they appeared, it meant that at least one civilian defense fortification had been breached, and the residents inside had all been transformed into these self-destruct weapons.
Yet just like the Fatigue Bee Swarm and Magnetic Pulse Beetles from before, they were merely harassment ahead of the large-scale attack. The true main force had yet to appear.
Tai Yu continued reporting the enemy unit types and positions to the Command Department. When he finished, he turned, swept his gaze over Jia Xi, and said, "Throw it away!"
"Huh?" Only then did Jia Xi realize that when he had fled, he had instinctively grabbed the mechanical control platform from the table—the control hub for the reconnaissance equipment currently operated by Tai Yu and Ku Yu.
He shouted at Tai Yu, "We don't need it anymore?"
Tai Yu shouted back as well, giving Ku Yu, who seemed to be unconscious, a shake. "Does he look like he can still use it?"
Before his words had
