The restaurant Ran Ming used to entertain guests was located on Vita Island, at the very heart of the Vita District. The place was forever covered by a translucent shell-like structure. The sole exception was the six dark Quill Towers that pierced the sky from the central area above the shell.
Thanks to the shell structure's light-gathering zones and intelligent lighting adjustments, the island always seemed bathed in splendid morning light.
As for the Quill Towers spectacle visible from outside, it vanished once one was inside. It was remarkably strange.
The building density on Vita Island was clearly far lower than outside. Its streets were broader, high-rises were few and far between, and nearly all stood around the edges, forming a transition toward the urban style of the Vita Outer District. Such a design was particularly extravagant in Star Ring City, where every inch of land was worth a fortune.
