Just past midnight on Day 6 of Week 33, Year 1305 of the New Century, Tai Yu returned to his hotel room, which seemed suffused with a warm fragrance.
As he entered, his gaze passed through the short hallway. Even with the GG light stream flickering like super-sized Flying Mosquitoes, he could still make out the outline of a female body on the room's only bed, lightly covered by a thin nightgown. It felt rather strange, as though he had entered a virtual game space where all he needed to do was select an option for things to unfold in accordance with human desires.
Tai Yu curled his lips and crossed to the bedside in two or three strides.
Ming Fan was not resting. She was leaning against the headboard, working in the Virtual Work Area. When she saw Tai Yu, she merely greeted him softly. "You're back?"
