The one behind the "Tabler Firewall" was no longer as tense as Tabler himself. He leaned back naturally against the booth, flicked the side of his glass, and sent it gliding smoothly back into place.
The seller uncorked the bottle and poured himself a drink.
The one behind the wall did not waste time. "From the current situation, Shi Wo's tradable shares have basically been squeezed dry. I don't think this should continue. Otherwise, it will only attract more attention."
The seller expressed his dissatisfaction. "This intermediary is unqualified."
The one behind the wall replied evenly, "Wasn't he recommended by you? A branch president exiled to this place—how many resources could he possibly have? If you want to keep acquiring shares, the High Priest on the other side of You-1337 Star Gate may be a better choice."
The seller shook his head. "Eventually, but not now."
Then the seller asked, "Since we're talking about the Star Gate, how are things over there?"
The one behind the wall answered, "Nothing much has happened. That High Priest has things firmly under control."
The seller raised his illusory wine, drank half the glass, and sighed. "Mr. Bifur, I mean your Expedition Team."
Having been directly identified, Bifur did not care in the least. Or rather, the phase when he had cared especially deeply had long since passed.
The seller opposite him was the contact person from the Initial Awakening Society who had set up this Little Bar platform. Bifur was fairly familiar with him—though they had never truly met, Bifur could still recognize certain basic traits.
Even if these "customer service staff" were frequently replaced, there were ultimately only a few who could calmly liaise with seasoned Sky Ladder powerhouses like Bifur.
After enough exchanges, one would always find some points to remember.
