One of Star Ring City's traditional pastimes was taking a luxurious sightseeing starship around You Chong Star to admire the spacebound scenery of this habitable planet from close proximity.
It did not cost much, and the expense was low. It worked for a couple or a small gathering of five or six people, making it a fairly classic form of entertainment for the middle class.
Of course, for someone like Bifur, a powerhouse standing far above the masses, this sort of gathering was inevitably a little too small-scale. This time, however, he could not raise any objections, because Tai Yu had chosen it.
Since Tai Yu was hosting, the manner of entertaining the guests was naturally his decision. Besides, at this stage, looking down on You Chong Star in this way seemed to carry a special implication.
Amid soothing music, the chartered sightseeing starship circled along You Chong Star's low orbit.
If one ignored the scenery they had long grown tired of, this amber-like planet still offered sights worth seeing: the mountains and rivers of its daylight side, the glittering lights of its night side, the irregularly clustered clouds, and even the lightning flickering within them.
Paired with rather exquisite food and Mo Jia, a beauty with both status and looks, the overall atmosphere was quite pleasant. Host and guests alike were enjoying themselves.
There were six people attending this gathering. Tai Yu, Bifur, and Mo Jia went without saying. The others were Ma Yong, manager of Xi Corporation's Red Silicon Branch, and Mo Jia's husband, Xi Shen, who had always been something of an extra.
Tai Yu, meanwhile, had brought Ran Ming.
In terms of status, Ran Ming was a rung below the rest of them. But Great Lord Luande was there to shield him, and he himself was
