"Consensus Cloud?"
Blood Demon's eyeballs, murkier than those of an ordinary person, shifted. After making sure he had not misheard, he looked again at the endlessly churning fog, suspicion on his face.
"You didn't just make that name up on the spot, did you?"
Ronan smiled again without denying it. "As long as it conveys the meaning clearly."
Blood Demon muttered, "I don't think it's all that clear."
"It truly isn't clear enough."
Ronan offered a further explanation. "The 'consensus' here can be understood as an 'overall mapping' of everyone present's shared understanding of certain fundamental concepts.
"This understanding tends toward the macro level rather than specifics, so I've confined it to a limited number of fields—mainly intelligence concerning the Central Star Zone. It is a manifestation of what we have gained through exchanges with Outer Earth and the Reclamation Corps.
"Looking at it now, after several months of exchange between Inner and Outer Earth, our gains remain quite limited, to the point that the corresponding information has barely taken shape."
For Ronan to speak this way, as one of the twenty "peak powerhouses" seated around the circular conference table, was clearly rather presumptuous.
Why did it sound as though he were the one arranging and assessing them?
And wasn't this "Consensus Cloud," in essence, some kind of map-wide mind-reading technique?
Yet no one present questioned that attitude. Blood Demon, the first to stick his head out, had even been made into an example.
Ronan asked him, "Mister Blood Demon, you've made four round trips by now, haven't you? You've fought quite a few battles too. How much have you learned about the Reclamation Corps' background and origins?"
"Uh, Outer Earth's Abyss Zone monitoring system is absolutely inhuman. I was too high-profile at first, so later on, I got beaten
