The vehicle that came to pick up "Lao Pu" was not the Nanny Shuttle he was used to driving. That thing was still embedded in the Flowing Scenery, stranded in the Sky-Air Shipyard.
Its appearance was fairly similar, though.
When Ronan and Zhi Chuan emerged from the hospital entrance, the vehicle's side door opened, and Teng Zhi, Wei Su Yi's personal bodyguard, poked her head out and waved them over.
Its interior layout looked much the same as well.
This time, however, there was no need for him to sit in the driver's seat.
Ronan smiled and slowly climbed aboard, dragging Lao Pu's body, which was nearly a quarter heavier than usual.
Inside the vehicle, Teng Zhi, who had just leaned out, was taking a seat in the third row.
He was about to follow when Wei Su Yi's stand-in spoke from the other side, her slightly husky voice nearly identical to the original's:
"Sit beside me."
Ronan blinked, but he maintained his unhurried pace and slowly sat down in Hametz's usual seat.
Hametz was indeed absent today. Fei Sai, one of the Fei Brothers, was nowhere to be seen either.
Po Man, the household assistant, sat in the driver's seat, while Fei Ang, the elder of the Fei Brothers, occupied the front passenger seat. Teng Zhi led Zhi Chuan to the back.
The vehicle started up and merged into the complicated yet orderly traffic.
After some thought, Ronan asked a question whose answer he already knew. "Lady Hametz isn't here?"
"She went to the spaceport to arrange a Shuttle."
The question itself had been rather abrupt, but the fact that Wei Su Yi answered him made it even more unexpected.
For a moment, everyone else in the car glanced their way.
