Ronan's refusal had probably been too direct. Yilan Shang failed to process it at first and stupidly replied:
"What?"
Half a second later, realization finally struck, followed by an emotional, out-of-control roar:
"Backpack, have you lost your mind?!"
Backpack's mind was no longer there.
So amid even more irritable cursing from the other end, Ronan replied calmly:
"This is the Shuttle Transit Airport, a sensitive area for Spacetime Rules conversion. The Myriad Gods Hall is definitely watching it at all times. I'm not confident I can safely get away after killing someone and cutting off their head.

The reason was appropriate, though perhaps not sufficient. Ronan knew that given Yilan Shang's temperament, he would not be easily persuaded.
As it happened, there was something Ronan wanted to clarify as well.
