Ronan lifted his head. At some point, the city skyline had darkened.
There had never been any such thing as a "sun" on Plane Six, but there was still always daylight. Earlier, the light had been fine; now it had suddenly dimmed, not because of any normal day-night cycle, but because the Rule Environment in the area had fallen into chaos.
The Shan Jiu Clone's own power should not have counted as especially strong. At the very least, Ronan had not yet sensed the might of a Grand Duke from it at this stage.
The problem was that, in a sense, the Shan Jiu Clone had already become a living Leak Point.
Its instinct, reverse-contaminated by faith in the Boundary Curtain, was frantically dumping the Rule Fragments of gods and Grand Dukes toward the Material Universe—and, in all probability, they were Fragmented Rule Toxins that had never entered the Processing Plant process.
Such a massive injection had an extremely negative effect on the spacetime environment.
There were also a large number of "high-frequency participants" like Ma Weise in the surrounding area. They had long since been steeped in it and were rapidly transforming into monsters, becoming corresponding Fulcrums and sources of contamination.
Not to mention that with a path like the Illusory Nightmare Domain, whose basic meaning lay in Virtual Reality, once people's cognition was contaminated, they themselves became accomplices to the contamination.
In other words, as time dragged on, this "living Leak Point," the Shan Jiu Clone, would cause the functions of the Processing Plant and Landfill on both sides of the Veil to lose meaning in the surrounding area.
This place would inevitably be contaminated by "garbage." As for what changes might occur after that contamination...
For the time being, Ronan could not deduce them.
Still, he watched
