Lan Su spoke and acted with blunt directness, and he had no particular reservations when chatting.
In his words, a man who was about to die should live however he found most comfortable. Since he currently needed to "catch a ride," he naturally had to offer some convenience in return to those willing to help him.
At first, they discussed more practical matters, such as the "rendezvous point."
According to Lan Su, that "rendezvous point" was a dwarf planet located within the spherical cloud formations on the outskirts of the Han Guang Star System. It was roughly ten light-years from the Han Guang Main Star, already at the very edge of the region and liable to drift beyond its gravitational range at any time.
Only a place like that could remain relatively unaffected by the Styx and provide enough time for someone to take him back.
Ronan asked whenever he did not understand. "But what if no one ever comes? Hanguang Mercenaries probably don't travel in and out that often, right?"

Lan Su curled his lip, the dark mottled markings on his face twisting with the movement. "In the end, if I really run out of patience, I can find some junk ship and head into the Styx myself. That's not a bad ending either."
Ronan could tell that this man had essentially already considered himself dead.
There was not much he could say to that, so he continued
