Ronan did not know any of them, and even after the introductions, he remembered none of them. They were all more or less the sons and granddaughters of some big shot. He only noticed that He Donglou's official female companion for the evening, the actress Xi Wei, was not among them.
Naturally, these drunkards did not know him either. They laughed and joked among themselves, and one glamorous woman with nightclub makeup even reached out to touch Ronan's chest. "Whoa, Donglou, you've been hiding such an abstinent-looking little brother? You brought a bodyguard instead of a female companion to a party... What business is the young boss in?"
"Get lost. Looking to get slapped?" He Donglou rudely smacked away the Nightclub Woman's grasping hand, but immediately turned playful again. "I'm not the one hiding people. My sister is! My sister works as Boss Ronan's secretary."
"Your sister? Which sister?"
"Heh heh."
Under Ronan's gaze, He Donglou started joking around again. The He family was a large one, with seven or eight women of suitable or unsuitable age—enough for these drunkards to wildly speculate for a while.
