What Old Hand, who had left, did not know was that Ronan was still feeling slightly awkward inside the room.

He had left Xia City and drifted around outside for over ten days. It was not long, but he had been through quite a lot. Suddenly receiving a call from He Yueyin truly made him feel as though a lifetime had passed. Part of the reason was that He Yueyin had not contacted him of her own accord during this time.

Ronan curled his lips. He accepted He Yueyin's discreet goodwill and kept his own tone casual. "She's already left?"

The exchange was simple, but the subtext was plentiful.
