Background and History

Shi Wo describes Li Wei as a promising Deep Blue World researcher who developed independent projects early in his career. After leaving, Li Wei became chief scientist of Li Yue Group. According to Shi Wo, his taboo experiments caused severe repercussions for the company; Li Wei became a wanted criminal and may have spent time as an interstellar pirate 2665.

Li Wei pursued Liang Lu into Earth’s spacetime alongside Tu Ge. He later described Liang Lu’s unexpectedly weakened condition—and the confidence that Li Wei and Tu Ge could face a former Great Lord—as the two surprises of that pursuit 2355. On Earth, Li Wei established the Deep Blue World as the center of his operations. His projects, including Deep Blue, the Bloodline Project, and Excavate Star Gate, drew military, political, and Ability User interests into a network that retained influence even after he retreated into the Deep Blue World 2458.

In Year 90, Li Wei mobilized the Deep Blue World against a trail he apparently mistook for Liang Lu’s. The strike failed, and he withdrew to recover and continue observing 1903 2232. Later, Ronan’s rapid rise disrupted Li Wei’s plans. Li Wei acknowledged that he had once told Tu Ge to kill Ronan, but had not pressed the matter decisively 2355.

In a collision experiment between the Deep Blue World and local spacetime, Li Wei calmly distinguishes what his calculations support from what remains uncertain, saying he never expected to break free through his own strength 1284.

His goals are not presented as conventional rule over Earth. Zhang Yingying reports that he has shown no clear interest in governance, even as his dominance frustrates other factions 1328. He is nevertheless willing to use extensive projects and relationships to pursue his objectives 2458.
