The Flesh Core's unique mode of existence directly affected, even distorted, the arrangement of light and shadow in Mica's perspective. More importantly, a considerable number of Flesh Cores seemed to possess independence and could survive on their own.
Ronan had already noticed that even after directly killing a host, destroying its visible "fluorescent" structure and shattering its system of existence, quite a few "nodules" could pull away in time, drifting through the broader Life Shadow in search of another cluster of "fluorescent" structures to latch onto and parasitize anew.
Well, from this perspective, Ronan had found a somewhat familiar sense of spatial orientation. Naturally, he had also broken free of the limitations of individual life forms and turned his gaze toward a dimension entirely constructed from "shadows" and "light."
As individuality faded and wholeness came to the fore, viewing it from the perspective of Configuration allowed Ronan to perceive more clearly the overall structure of the array built upon the Flesh Cores.
