Ch. 241Two-Headed Spider (Part 2)

Child destroyed the Heavenly Evolution Domain’s central pillar, killing An Chengli and apparently destroying An Weng’s body, while No. 3 emerged and entered the Mental Layer. Zheng Xiao realized An Weng’s consciousness had taken control of No. 3, which devoured another Human-Faced Spider, leaving him questioning whether it was truly An Weng.

  • Child broke through the Heavenly Evolution Domain’s defenses and shattered its central Magic Array, causing the domain’s other pillars to collapse.
  • The backlash destroyed An Chengli’s body, while An Weng burned and Child smashed his head apart; an intangible shadow escaped toward the Balance of Truth.
  • No. 3 appeared beneath the Balance of Truth’s projection, and Zheng Xiao sensed An Weng’s familiar consciousness within it.
  • No. 3 attacked An Chengli’s rooftop, where another Human-Faced Spider, Hidden Spoils, emerged from his ruined body.
  • An Weng, controlling No. 3, defeated and devoured Hidden Spoils, leaving Zheng Xiao wondering if the creature was really An Weng.

Ch. 242Void Chain (Part 1)

An Weng used No. 3 the Human-Faced Spider to search the deepest levels of the Mental Layer for the Gate of Truth, while Zheng Xiao remained tethered to the creature as a Kite String. As the search reached a new frequency, an ordered rattling tremor emerged from No. 3’s chaotic depths.

  • No. 3 devoured the Human-Faced Spider that had emerged from An Chengli, and An Weng took control of it.
  • The Heavenly Evolution Domain collapsed, but Zheng Xiao could not withdraw his consciousness and remained linked to No. 3.
  • An Weng used No. 3’s ability to dive through the Mental Layer to search for the Gate of Truth.
  • On Building A’s rooftop, Child questioned Ouyang Chen about the laboratory and discussed what the Justice Cult knew about Human-Faced Spiders.
  • After No. 3 switched frequencies for the fifth time, An Weng focused on something he had detected, and a chain-like tremor sounded within the spider.

Ch. 243Void Chain (Part 2)

An Weng traced the order inside the Human-Faced Spider to a Dark Heavy Chain connected to Ronan and tried to locate him in the real world. The chain led him into a vast mental landscape, where a powerful being at its other end attacked No. 3 and threw An Weng’s control into turmoil.

  • An Weng realized the force of order inside the Human-Faced Spider came from a reassembled imitation of his Faith Product, which he linked to Ronan.
  • An Weng traced the Dark Heavy Chain through No. 3 and formed a secret curse to kill Ronan.
  • An Weng’s detection reached a vast starry mental landscape supported by countless lives, but he could not find Ronan’s core consciousness.
  • An Weng abandoned his search through the real world and directed No. 3 to follow the chain back to its source.
  • A powerful presence surged from the chain’s other end, triggering No. 3’s combat instincts and disrupting An Weng’s control.
  • An Weng realized the chain’s source was another, extraordinarily powerful Human-Faced Spider rather than Ronan.

Ch. 244Colosseum (Part 1)

An Weng struggled to control No. 3 as it fought another Human-Faced Spider in a Starry Sky cage, sacrificing much of his soul and memories. With No. 3 near defeat, he destroyed the lethal secret curse he had prepared for Ronan and shouted Ronan’s name across the Mental Layer.

  • An Weng helped No. 3 break the Dark Heavy Chains, but the clash erased part of his soul territory and snapped Zheng Xiao’s Kite String.
  • A larger Human-Faced Spider emerged from shadows, and An Weng realized the broken chain still bound the spiders through an invisible power of order.
  • The Human-Faced Spiders fought again, and No. 3 lost a pincer while stabbing and wounding its opponent.
  • As No. 3 fell badly behind, An Weng crushed the Dark Seclusion pearl and released its lethal negative force through his soul territory.
  • An Weng roared “Ronan!” across the Mental Layer.

Ch. 245Colosseum (Part 2)

Ronan used the Death Curse and the Human-Faced Spider’s instincts to send a probing wave through the Starry Sky projection and elicit reactions from people in the city. As the Association members discussed Ouyang Chen’s Logic World, Ronan observed how it distorted the relationship between the Mental Layer and the Material Layer.

  • An Weng’s probing wave carried information into the Material Layer, reaching people across the city and drawing instinctive reactions from a few who knew Ronan.
  • Xue Lei wondered whether someone had called to him, while Ronan kept watching the dark buildings around Frost River Reality.
  • The Association members gathered near Yulan Hotel learned that President Ouyang had been watching over the Logic World, and Red Fox explained that it had been used to demonstrate overwhelming force.
  • Red Fox asked Ronan whether he had noticed anything unusual at Frost River Reality, and Ronan described its interaction between the Mental Layer and the Material Layer.
  • Ronan realized the Logic World forced the Mental Layer’s Curtains to overlap, twist, and tear, creating a third and more complex form of interference with the Material Layer.

Ch. 246Turbid Cloud Change (Part 1)

Ronan was taken for hospital observation as his rising Soul Power and the Shield of Truth put him at risk, but An Weng’s Spirit Summoning continued to reach him despite the group’s retreat. The chapter ended with Ronan sensing An Weng’s malice and hearing a whisper from the Balance of Truth.

  • Zhang Yingying brought Ronan and the others aboard a support vehicle, where Bai Xinyan prepared to take him to the hospital for twenty-four-hour observation.
  • Bai Xinyan warned that Ronan’s rising Soul Power and the uncertain duration of the Shield of Truth could cause a dangerous crisis.
  • Red Fox and Paper Cut detected An Weng using Spirit Summoning to locate Ronan, so Bai Xinyan ordered the group to withdraw from the battlefield.
  • The support vehicle carried the group more than ten kilometers from Frost River Reality, beyond the apparent range of Spirit Summoning.
  • Ronan recognized that distorted mental distance made physical distance ineffective and recalled linking the Blood Flame Order’s demonic talisman to the Justice Cult’s Human-Faced Spider to create an altar.
  • An Weng’s malice reached Ronan, and he heard a whisper from the Balance of Truth.

Ch. 247Turbid Cloud Change (Part 2)

Ronan realized An Weng had used the Balance of Truth to target him, leaving him entangled in the conflict as An Weng’s soul domain weakened. An Weng then unleashed a powerful detection wave that darkened the Logic World, and a lightning-wreathed Giant Arm descended toward Ouyang Chen and Child.

  • Ronan sensed the Balance of Truth binding him and admitted to Bai Xinyan that he was unsure whether the Shield of Truth had been affected.
  • Ronan concluded that An Weng had placed him on the Balance of Truth as a sacrifice and had made him a primary target.
  • Paper Cut and Red Fox suggested An Weng might be targeting Child or attacking indirectly, while Bai Xinyan contacted Nun to urge President Ouyang to end the conflict.
  • An Weng’s soul domain contracted as No. 3’s limbs were devoured, but he burned his soul to resist the Balance of Truth and strengthen his detection wave.
  • The detection wave filled the Logic World with murky cloud and fog, and Child warned Ouyang Chen just before a lightning-wreathed Giant Arm crashed down toward them.

Ch. 248Great Displacement (Part 1)

The Giant Arm’s shadow devastated Frost River Reality and unleashed chaotic lightning that threatened both the Material and Mental Layers of the Logic World. An Weng seized the upheaval to approach the shadow, while the hungry Demon began spreading its reach toward everyone in the Logic World.

  • The Giant Arm’s shadow pierced Frost River Reality, collapsing it and shattering the glass walls of the surrounding skyscrapers.
  • Baze escaped the spreading electric fire, but a Sacrifice Knight was caught and crushed into a living ball of flesh.
  • Ronan sensed that the lightning came from interference between the Mental and Material Layers, while its impact ignited the Human-Faced Spider and consumed Number 3.
  • An Weng recognized the Demon’s shadow as an opportunity, broke away from the battlefield in Number 3, and leaped toward it.
  • The Demon accepted An Weng and Number 3, then spread its shadow into the detection-wave mist and targeted everyone in the Logic World.

Ch. 249Shadow Domain (Part 2)

Ouyang Chen clashed domains with the demon controlling the Shadow Obelisk, exposing Number 3 and the Balance of Truth within the shadows. Number 3 reached the Balance of Truth and swallowed the dying Ring Serpent, while its own body burned away.

  • Child recognized that he was outmatched as the Shadow Obelisk formed and Ouyang Chen began confronting the force behind it.
  • Ouyang Chen dispersed the demon's clouds and lightning, identified its chaotic domain, and fought back with ripples of his own.
  • The collision of the domains destroyed the rooftop, and Child saw Number 3 struggling inside the Shadow Obelisk.
  • Ouyang Chen spotted the Balance of Truth's projection and saw Number 3 push through the shadows toward it.
  • Number 3 reached the Black Scale Pan and swallowed the Ring Serpent just before its body burned away.

Ch. 250Great Displacement (Part 1)

Ouyang Chen and Zheng Xiao witnessed No. 3 transform into the Human-Faced Spider and integrate with the Balance of Truth as An Weng’s plan shifted the balance between the scales. The scales reached equilibrium, allowing a Sacred Space to form, while Zheng Xiao realized An Weng intended to turn himself into a ritual vessel.

  • No. 3 swallowed the Ring Serpent, then reformed as a smaller Human-Faced Spider that integrated into the projection of the Balance of Truth.
  • Ouyang Chen advanced toward the Shadow Obelisk and revealed how the projection drew chaotic elements from the shadowy domain.
  • Zheng Xiao recognized that the demon described in the Sacred Texts had arrived and reconsidered the mission’s purpose.
  • The White Scale Pan revealed Child’s Kite Shield reflection and a second image representing Gestalt, showing that Ronan had joined the balance.
  • The Human-Faced Spider inhaled the murk and shifted the weights until the Black and White Scale Pans were level.
  • Prayers and incantations watered the balanced scales, which took root and formed a Sacred Space.

Ch. 251Great Displacement (Part 2)

An Weng used the Balance of Truth to create a vast Sacred Space and displace the forces tied to its Altar Frameworks, severely disrupting Ronan’s body. Ronan escaped the interference by projecting his soul into the Mental Layer, but his recovery reversed changes in Gestalt and disrupted the Balance’s progress.

  • An Weng formed a huge cocoon of light around the Balance of Truth, whose spreading branches distorted the projections of the Human-Faced Spider, the Kite Shield, and Gestalt.
  • Ouyang Chen approached the cocoon and questioned whether An Weng had permission to borrow the Balance of Truth’s power.
  • Ronan realized the displacement was affecting him and Child, while the mercury-like gleam on Child’s hands faded.
  • An Weng’s interference caused Ronan’s organs to malfunction and his consciousness to blur, so Ronan visualized Gestalt and used the Demon Rune to project his soul into the Mental Layer.
  • Ronan’s soul escaped the restraints and his mind cleared, but his body collapsed into Zhang Yingying’s arms and he lost consciousness.
  • Ronan’s return to wholeness restored the Gestalt projection and disrupted the balance between chaos and order, stalling and withering some of the cocoon’s branches.

Ch. 252Not Human (Part 1)

Zheng Xiao realized An Weng was using the Sacred Space to seize control of the Shadow Obelisk and the Demon, not to create a Sacred Spirit Body. An Weng’s control failed, unleashing destructive shadow power across the Logic World and leaving Baze in unbearable agony as he attacked Child and begged for death.

  • Zheng Xiao recognized that the damaged Sacred Space was failing while Ouyang Chen reached the cocoon and pressed against it.
  • The light cocoon reacted to Ouyang Chen’s touch, spreading Branch Blood Vessels and drawing shadows around itself.
  • Zheng Xiao realized An Weng was trying to control the Shadow Obelisk and the Demon, but Ronan’s escape had weakened An Weng’s control.
  • The Shadow Obelisk split apart, and its spreading shadow clouds killed cult priests and knights while An Weng’s power caused Sacrifice Knights to explode.
  • Baze survived the surge, charged Child, shattered his Shield of Truth, and begged Child to kill him.

Ch. 253No Longer Human (Part 2)

Child defeated Baze in a brutal close-quarters fight, then asked Ronan to help save him. Ronan found that the Demon’s chaotic essence had irreversibly transformed Baze, while the Shadow Obelisk continued to rise and An Weng’s plans threatened the Logic World.

  • Child endured Baze’s attacks, broke both of his arms with joint locks, and incapacitated him with a series of strikes and a kick.
  • Child used his Gestalt to regulate his Qi and Blood, reset his broken ribs, and asked Ronan to help Baze.
  • Child told Ronan that Baze and Zheng Xiao were among the Justice Cult’s few promising members and that the battle between Extraordinary Species was beyond Ronan’s ability to affect.
  • Ronan enhanced Baze with a Gestalt and discovered that chaotic essence from the Human-Faced Spider had replaced much of Baze’s bodily functions.
  • Ronan realized Baze’s transformation could not be reversed and that his immense physical strength was the only thing keeping him alive.

Ch. 254Trouble Even for a Ghost (Part 1)

Ronan tried to save Baze by imposing an Order Framework on his chaotic, demonic body, but the effort connected him to An Weng’s struggle to control the Demon behind the scenes. The Demon resisted both frameworks, leaving Ronan and An Weng in conflict over how to control it.

  • Ronan examined Baze and, with Child’s guidance, decided to build an Order Framework that might keep him alive, though it would fundamentally change him.
  • As Ronan began influencing Baze, he traced the chaotic essence back to the Demon An Weng was controlling and collided with An Weng’s Balance of Truth Framework.
  • Ouyang Chen’s mental senses joined the struggle but fell behind and lost track of Ronan and An Weng.
  • The Demon roared in resistance, causing a storm that shook the Three Towers and confirming Ronan’s view that it needed an Order Framework to direct its chaotic instincts.
  • Ronan recognized that An Weng had a method for controlling the Demon, but he also had a direction of his own.

Ch. 255Difficult to Be a Ghost (Part 2)

Ronan used the Dark Heavy Chains to guide Baze through the chaos of his corrupted body, helping him find a new order of life and bringing him into the Gestalt. When the Chains broke the hook An Weng had used to control Baze, An Weng sensed the change and turned his attention toward Ronan.

  • Ronan used the Dark Heavy Chains to show Baze a path to reorganize his physical and spiritual structure amid the chaotic erosion.
  • Child struck Baze and told him to follow if he wanted to live, while Ronan warned Child that the Order Framework was his.
  • After several failed attempts, Baze followed the new order, absorbed the surrounding mist, and regained a more normal breathing rhythm.
  • Baze appeared in the Gestalt's Employee layer, but the Dark Heavy Chains then shattered a hook embedded in his structure.
  • An Weng's will struck toward Ronan after sensing the broken hook, and Ronan realized that his control over Baze had provoked a dangerous response.

Ch. 256Perhaps Real (Part 1)

Ronan realized the Dark Heavy Chains were resonating with an obscure presence in deep space, while the Demon’s rampage pushed the Logic World toward collapse. Child urged Ronan to withdraw, but Ronan feared the broken Mental Layer would trap or scatter anyone who tried to leave.

  • An Weng stopped controlling the Demon and focused his attention on the Dark Heavy Chains’ vibrations.
  • Ronan recognized that the chains were resonating with something else in deep space, amplifying their vibrations and revealing traces of that presence.
  • The Demon grew more violent, smashing buildings and sending ripples through the Logic World as Child, Baze, and Zheng Xiao dodged its attacks.
  • Child told Ronan to withdraw, but neither he nor Baze moved because the damaged Logic World made escape difficult.
  • Ronan refused to withdraw because the Mental Layer’s collapsed curtain structures had become a dangerous maze that could strand or scatter a Soul Body.

Ch. 257Or Perhaps True (Part 2)

Ronan was caught between the pursuit of Demon and An Weng and a clash of powerful minds on the Mental Layer, which overwhelmed his Soul Body with energy information. As the chapter ended, Ronan began drawing on the External Neuron while the Association heard the Justice Cult declare war.

  • Demon escaped with An Weng and the Light Cocoon Heart after destroying the Logic World's structure, while a distant Mental Storm obscured their route.
  • Ouyang Chen asked Ronan to help locate Demon, and Ronan used Ouyang Chen's blueprint of the Logic World to identify a probable direction.
  • A force Ouyang Chen called the Suppression High Cliff contained the storm, but the battle continued to shake the Logic World and spilled into the Real World.
  • Ronan tried to contract his mental perception, but the converging energy information overwhelmed his Soul Body and threatened to blur his self-awareness.
  • Ronan reached for the External Neuron as his physical body convulsed, while the Spirit Wave Network carried the Justice Cult's threat and an Association reply declaring war.

Ch. 258People Within the Realm (Part 1)

Xie Junping pursued a brown-furred rat with remote-controlled equipment at Withered Tree Sandbar while discussing the Mystic Studies Society’s leadership changes and Luo’s troubles with Hu Huaying. The chapter ended with Xie Junping unexpectedly seeing the underwater chase with startling clarity.

  • Xie Junping used a mechanical spider and micro-submarine to chase a brown-furred rat, but it escaped through the marsh lake.
  • Hu Huaying arrived and told Xie Junping that the Mystic Studies Society was downsizing, Lao Du was stepping down, and an investor might withdraw funding.
  • Xie Junping and Hu Huaying discussed the Construction Club, Junior Luo’s enemies, and who might take over, and Xie Junping said he did not want to hand the club over to anyone.
  • Xie Junping suddenly saw the underwater scene in his mind as clearly as camera footage, then dismissed the strange experience while Hu Huaying asked about Junior Luo.

Ch. 259People Within the Realm (Part 2)

After surviving the Frost River Waterway simulation, Ronan stabilized under treatment and learned that the Martial Emperor had become an Extraordinary Species, shifting the balance of power in Xia City. Bai Xinyan explained the Association’s rising influence and asked He Yueyin about her reported plans to run for mayor.

  • Ronan completed the Frost River Waterway objective, nearly drowned, and recovered from the immersive simulation as his Soul Power destabilized.
  • Bai Xinyan ended Ronan’s treatment and told He Yueyin that his negative gain value remained serious but stable enough for ordinary life with sensible limits.
  • He Yueyin visited Ronan, who asked whether the Justice Cult had sent anyone since the Frost River Reality incident.
  • Bai Xinyan told Ronan that the Martial Emperor’s transformation into an Extraordinary Species mattered more politically than the battle’s deaths or original disputes.
  • Bai Xinyan explained how Extraordinary Species strengthened the Association’s position in Xia City and asked He Yueyin whether she planned to run for mayor after retiring.

Ch. 260Fleshly Body Limit (Part 1)

Ronan weighed the risks of Bai Xinyan’s treatment and argued that physical training could help balance his growing Soul Power with his damaged body. He Yueyin arranged a study plan for his Association training, and Ronan noticed that all of its instructors were people he had recently encountered.

  • Ronan considered the He family’s military and political influence, then began coughing as his throat itched.
  • Bai Xinyan assessed Ronan’s condition and warned that his nervous system was unlikely to improve while she focused on controlling his Soul Power growth.
  • Ronan proposed adding physical training, but remained wary of Bai Xinyan’s plan to reinforce his body through the Clay Laboratory.
  • He Yueyin noted that Ronan’s case could still change before Doctor Clay confirmed the treatment plan.
  • He Yueyin sent Ronan a study plan of common-knowledge tasks, and Ronan recognized every instructor as someone from his recent operations.
