Slacking-off notice

I supposed I was going to slack off. I lay in bed at night, unable to sleep, and lit a cigarette. This frustration came out of nowhere. I glanced at my own works: one had been updated, and the other hadn't.

Though I really didn't want to, well... the slacking off still happened.

Everyone slacks off sometimes; it's only a question of sooner or later. Some slack off early, and once everyone gets used to it, they take it in stride. Others slack off late, and everyone, used to their diligence, calls them a lazy bastard.

But as human beings, we all have to slack off.

An author who never slacks off isn't a good author, and a life without slacking off isn't a perfect life.

Here, I solemnly announce: I've slacked off.

Some longtime readers may have noticed that last month's chapters had a little bit of filler.

That's right-it was because I was writing two books at once.

Bing Huo had been writing novels for a year and a half, but... wasn't very fast.

The new book needed regular updates, so there inevitably wasn't quite enough time for the old one.

There wasn't enough time to think, nor enough time to revise. Sometimes I couldn't even finish writing and almost lost my perfect-attendance bonus.

Later, when I have time, I'll give last month's content another thorough polish.

At the moment, this book is nearing its end.

I'm sorting out the earlier plot threads and bringing all the plotlines to a climax.

I won't be able to get the perfect-attendance bonus this month either, so I might as well stop rushing and only post each chapter once I've written it properly.

So the update times won't be very consistent lately, but the book will end this month.

I hope
